New TutorNet offers an Expert Showcase and MoneySpinner

The amiable Martin Browne has set up TutorNet to offer online learning via video conferencing on Skype or ooVoo.

I think it's a great showcase for those with expertise to share and showcase, with the added benefit of generating an extra income stream.

Visit TutorNet

Tutors offer hour-long sessions in subjects they are used to teaching so people can easily top up their knowledge, get help with a problem or learn/improve a skill. Payment for a tutorial is made in advance to TutorNet through PayPal.

It's free to sign up as a member, then you can opt to become a tutor or learner, join groups based on subject matter and generally engage.

The site is based on Ning and has the usual social media tools such as adding friends, sharing with friends and other social media tools, posting on walls, commenting and forums.

There are some class acts already signed up.

And for those who are needing to polish up their presentation skills before handling online tutoring, by all means find courses and read books on the techniques. But do join Toastmasters ( to get lots of practice to embed the skills - it's a not-for-profit and brilliant value for money imo.

Grow The Profits -

View more Small Business Help Videos

It's not often that I spend the afternoon with a Scottish multi-millionaire who's sold a business to a PLC and is willing to put something back. That's just what Johnathan Briggs is doing at, where he offers a lot of free advice and in addition to his mentoring scheme for high growth business owners.

This is no 'get rich quick' site. He's walked the talk and sold a business for millions and is willing to help other ambitious business owners who want to tap into something you can't get from a book or a seminar: advice tailored for you based on real proven experience.

As he points out, he was successful because he made year-on-year profits. He's also analysed everything about his business journey to come up with what he calls his "success formula".
