Trades Training School Celebrates Fifth Year with Plumbing & Tiling Training Give-Away

Edinburgh based Trades Training School is 5 years old and are celebrating by giving away two courses worth £850 plus two courses worth £200. The free courses go to the first 4 people to apply in person at the school centre in the Peffermill Industrial Estate (block 3, unit 2).  The school which offers plumbing and tiling training is the only private trades training centre in Scotland to be SQA accredited.
Antony O’Neil, director, says, “It has been a tough few years for everyone but it has made us adapt and we now offer a wider range of courses to provide more opportunities for people to get back into work. Working with employability organisations such as Inspiring Young People, the public sector initiative for youths aged 16-19 who are not in employment, education or training, and the Jet programme where we train young people and also provide on-site experience is very rewarding.”
The school offers a range of courses to suit ex forces personnel, qualified tradesmen seeking to add a new skill, property managers, and anyone looking to learn a new trade. They also work with a number of charities and organisations, providing specially tailored support and training to young and disadvantaged people.

About Trades Training Plumbing and Tiling Courses

The Trades Training School (formerly known as Tiler Training) is Scotland's only private fully accredited SQA trades training centre. Founded in 2007 by Antony O'Neil in Edinburgh, the school offers intensive tiling and plumbing courses, (including specialist wet room installations plus mosaic courses). The courses are designed to enable people to extend their skills or get into employment within a short period of time. All trainers are experienced tradespeople who pass on the “tricks of the trade” in realistic wet environments using pressurised water and real adhesives.
The Trades Training School works with a number of charities and organisations such as Inspiring People and Action for Children. They also partner with Skills Development Scotland in training people for the workplace and offer Elcas - enhanced learning credits funded courses.
